  • Summer 2014
    Think about keeping a travel journal this summer. Save ticket stubs from events, newspaper articles, and other artifacts to create your own primary source historical document. Have a wonderful summer!

  • Week 37: 5/19-5/22

    Mon. 5/19 - Mini-Society International Market 11:00-12:00. Finish GeoHistorian Project.
    Tues. 5/20 - End of Year Feedback. Finish GeoHistorian Project
    Wed. 5/21 - Depart RP 10:30-Return 1:45. Biking Field Trip. Lunch at David Green Park.
    Thurs. 5/22 - Last Day of School for Students. 11:30 - Early Lunch in Class. 2:00-3:00 End of Year slide show.
    Fri. 5/23 - Teacher's last day. First day of Summer Break for students!

Math Updates

  • Summer 2014
    Have a wonderful summer. Khan Academy, at www.khanacademy.org, is a great way to have fun learning math. They've made many changes and the site is really kid friendly now. Try earning Meteor and Earth badges! 

    Challenge yourself to improve your speed in all math operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and addition.

    Free Rice: Practice multiplication and donate rice to the World Food Program.

    Tues. 4/29 - 11.6 Continued
    Wed. 4/30 - Creating visual models of prisms. Identify elements of a strong visual model. Homework: Create a visual model for 125 Objects. Draw model and show computation and dimensions.
    Thurs. 5/1 - Critique of student drawings. HW 11.7
    Fri. 5/2 Teach Area & Perimeter Lesson to 3rd Grade Students. 6th Grade math students assessed on clarity of explanation, and positive coaching skills.
